Born July 3rd 1955 in Oslo, Norway. Member of the Norwegian Union of Journalists (Norsk Journalistlag) since 1973. Worked in Norwegian newspapers and magazines for years before joining the Norwegian Broadcasting Corporation (the NRK) in 1980. In Aftenposten I worked as a music journalist, news journalist and petit writer for the entertainment section of the paper’s morning edition.
In the NRK I have been working as a journalist, programme host, internet and teletext publisher and as a director. Was trained in both single- and multi camera directing. Most memorable moment in the NRK was the reactions after the show «6.30 PM» («Halvsju») about war and peace in 1983 AND the 30 000 plus hate e-mails to the NRK after the first transmission of the interactive Internet entertainment show «Spider» or «NRK2 Spider» on September 2nd 1996. The servers of the NRK and the Eunet (ISP in Norway) went down, as did my own computer :-)
Present occupation is director and VJ in the department of TV-entertainment at the NRK. I have been a permanent employee and staff member at the NRK since 1980.
I’m also a plague on YouTube and especially on MySpace with a slight similarity to Florence Foster Jenkins or Olga Marie Michaelsen.
Interests: The Internet, humour, gadgets, music, music technology and Tempur memory mattresses and comfy beds.
Missions: In Norway I am one of the longest surviving HCV patients, having contracted HCV genotype 1 in late 1970. This is according to the Oslo University Hospital (Ullevaal University Hospital). One of my biggest interests is to yell out this message: Don’t do drugs, and especially NOT hard drugs!
